The Harlem Wizards are coming to town Sunday, Nov. 5, putting on an exhibition of basketball expertise and showmanship and taking on a team of local educators called the Sunrise Supersonics. The event is being presented at James M. Bennett High by the Salisbury Sunrise Rotary, and proceeds will benefit students, schools and the entire community through the great work on the Rotary club. The first Superintendent's Open Door Session of the 2023-2024 school year will take place from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the school system's office at 2424 Northgate Drive. The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10 in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.
For the Oct. 10th meeting, the Board will convene at 1:00 p.m. and immediately vote to go into closed session. The open portion of the meeting will begin at about 1:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting will be available by the Friday before the meeting on BoardDocs: https://go.boarddocs.com/mabe/wcboe/Board.nsf/Public
This meeting will be livestreamed on the Watch Board Meetings page of the school system’s website (www.wicomicoschools.org). Our Glen Avenue Gators were quite entertained at our PBIS Assembly this week! Students and staff came together to put on a fantastic show on our Snap & Roll expectations and appropriate behaviors in school. Great job, Gators!
